“Everything is data, and you can too”
Micki Kaufman (The Graduate Center, CUNY)

Micki Kaufman is a doctoral candidate in the history department at The Graduate Center, CUNY and the Director of Information Systems at the Modern Language Association.  In her work on DSNA’s Kissinger Collection she uses computational methods to perform large-corpus document analysis (17,500 meeting memoranda and teleconference transcripts detailing Kissinger’s correspondence during the period 1969-1977). In 2015, Micki received the Paul Fortier Prize for best paper by an early-career scholar at DH2015 (Parramatta, Australia) and the Lisa Lena Opas-Hänninen Young Scholar Prize awarded jointly by ACH (Association for Computing in the Humanities), ADHO (Association of Digital Humanities Organizations) Awards committee and CSDH (Canadian Society of Digital Humanities).
